<p>In a vide judgement dated July 30th, 2021, the Hon'ble Supreme Court had upheld the validity of Online Fantasy Sports by stating that the issue of whether Fantasy Sports format amounts to gambling or betting or wagering is no longer res Integra. Besides, the Rajasthan, Punjab & Haryana and Bombay High Courts all had also upheld the validity of fantasy sports as being legitimate businesses entitled to protection under Article 19(1)(g) and Article 14 of the Constitution of India.</p>
<p>In alignment with Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, all the stakeholders in the sports technology industry can work in synergy to enable the sunrise sector to reach its true peak growth potential. <p>The continuing restrictions on international travel means the latest edition of the event, dedicated to serving and celebrating the club’s passionate fanbase in India, will take the form of an interactive virtual experience.</p>
<p>And, as part of the 90-minute pre-match show ahead of the key Premier League meeting with Leeds United on Sunday 20 February, fans will be given the opportunity to vote on which city should host the event next time it is staged on the ground in India.</p>
<p>Six fans from across India will make the case for their city as representatives in the event’s first ever ‘Fan Panel’, assisted by United’s principal shirt partner TeamViewer, and the audience will be invited to vote for their favourite in the club’s official app.</p>
<p>The cities competing to host the next event are Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore.</p>

'body' => '<p>The stage is set for the 2022 Season 1 of the Rupay Prime Volleyball League began on Saturday at the Gachibowli Stadium Hyderabad. Amid all the buzz and excitement for the tournament, Chairman and Managing Director of Pulkit Veneer Mills Private Limited, Mr. Pawan Kumar Patodia, who is also the Chairman and Co-Owner of the Kolkata Thunderbolts franchise, opened up about his reasons behind investing in a volleyball franchise.<br />
<br />
"Growing up, I used to play volleyball which I lost touch with after I got involved in my business. Later, I received a small chance to see volleyball being played in Assam, where I realized that the players in India have potential but are not getting platforms such as cricket and football in this sport," Mr. Pawan Kumar Patodia said.<br />
<br />
"After thorough research, I realized volleyball is the 2nd most popular sport played in the world, and the 3rd most popular sport played in India and the Volleyball Leauge is being plyed in 18 countries all over the world except India. It builds a desire to contribute something to the sport that I have admired all my life and henace as soon as I found out about the Prime Volleyball League, I jumped on the opportunity to invest in the team because I aim to bring glory to volleyball," Mr Patodia added.<br />
<br />
Mr. Patodia also explained the unique nature of the Prime Volleyball League and why its business model is more sustainable than the other leagues in the country.<br />
<br />
"The most impressive thing about the Prime Volleyball League is that it is a private league, so far not seen in India. Here all the owners of the seven franchises have stakes in the leagues. So, there are no chances of a conflict. Because they will never decide against volleyball," he explained.<br />
<br />
"PVL is a proper professional league. They know what the shortcomings were the last time around. So, they have been very focused from day one on organizing everything right, from the auction to bringing the foreign players, despite the pandemic. They are ensuring all the requirements of the franchises are met. So, I believe this Prime Volleyball League will support the growth of volleyball which nobody can stop now," he added.<br />
<br />
With eyes on the future, Kolkata Thunderbolts camp is also looking to build a solid pool of talent in the city and the state to ensure the growth of the sport in West Bengal.<br />
<br />
"This year, we only had one player who came at the auction from Bengal, Mr.Sujoy Dutta, who has been picked up by us and is our "face for Bengal." He would inspire more and more players from this region to start taking up volleyball as their career choice. We are hopeful that from next year onwards, we will get more Bengal-based players, and then in no time, volleyball will be the new buzz in every house. Also, I am sure the sports-loving fans in Bengal and especially Kolkata will also support their own heroes in volleyball," Mr. Patodia said.<br />

Mr. Patodia also spoke about the discussion he had with the players of Kolkata Thunderbolts and expressed his full confidence in the abilities of the players.<br />
<br />
"I have no doubts that Kolkata Thunderbolts will perform well in the tournament. But for me, the most important thing is that the players express themselves freely. I have told the players in my team not to take any pressure about the results," he added.<br />
<br />
"My message to my players will only be; express yourself freely as you are, without the pressure of winning. Play your natural game as if this is the last season of your career, and I am sure we will perform like Champions," Mr Patodia said.</p>
<p>On being asked how he plans to promote volleyball in Bengal, Mr Patodia said , he will work at grass root level of the same and have plans to open Volleyball Academy i Bengal and Assam where player from 14 years of age will be trained for volleyball and he is confident that by 2027 atleast four players from his Academy will play Under 21 Squad at India level. Mr Patodia further said that they have collaborated with famous Sports Wear Brand Decathlon and they will visits 100s of school in Kolkata and other districts of Bengal and distribute Volleyball net and Balls to these kids to encourage for Volleyball and thro Lucky draw will distribute jersey, shoes and other Volleyball ball related accessories to create enthusiasm among these kids. When asked about the future of Volleyball Mr Patodia said # Khelne Bangla, jitbe bangla and he signed off.</p>

In November 2020, Prime Video became the first streaming service in India to secure exclusive live cricket rights from a major cricketing board. As a part of the multi-year deal, international men’s and women’s cricket matches played in New Zealand – across ODI, T20 and tests – will be available exclusively on Prime Video.</p>

<p>बास्केटबाॅल फैडरेशन ऑफ़ इंडिया (बीएफआई) और 3x3 प्रो बास्केटबॉल लीग भारतीय उप-महाद्वीप (3बीएल) ने भारत में 3x3 प्रोफेशनल बास्केटबॉल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विशेष अनुबंध (एक्सक्लूसिव काॅन्ट्रेक्ट) पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। बास्केटबॉल को हद से अधिक चाहने वाले शहर चंडीगढ़ में 3बीएल सीजन 3 का आयोजन 5 से 27 मार्च 2022 तक होगा ये घोषणाएं श्री चंदरमुखी शर्मा, महासचिव- बीएफआई ने श्री रोहित बख्शी, 3बीएल कमिश्नर के साथ की। इस मौके पर पंजाब के वरिष्ठ भारतीय अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी, अमज्योत सिंह गिल और पलप्रीत सिंह बराड़, और महिला अंतरराष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी रसप्रीत सिद्धू भी उपस्थित थे।</p>
<p>श्री चंदरमुखी शर्मा, महासचिव- बीएफआई ने कहा कि “बीएफआई ने भारत में 3x3 प्रोफेशनल बास्केटबॉल को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 3बीएल को विशेष अधिकार दिए। 3बीएल कई भारतीय बास्केटबॉल एथलीटों को अतिरिक्त आय और अतिरिक्त अनुभव प्रदान करेगा।“ श्री शर्मा ने कहा कि “3बीएल हमारी राष्ट्रीय टीमों के लिए एक फीडर सिस्टम के रूप में कार्य करेगा, विशेष रूप से वे जो अगले साल के राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में 3x3 कार्यक्रमों में भाग लेंगे।“</p>

<p>3बीएल में भाग लेने वाले भारतीय बास्केटबॉल खिलाड़ी हमारे सभी खिलाड़ियों को हाई एफआईबीए 3x3 रैंकिंग अंक हासिल करना सुनिश्चित करते हैं। यह बीएफआई की ओवरआॅल एफआईबीए रैंकिंग को बढ़ाता है, जिससे ओलंपिक के लिए भारत की क्वालीफिकेशन की संभावना बढ़ जाती है। इसके अलावा, शीर्ष क्रम की 3बीएल टीमों को एफआईबीए 3x3 इंटरनेशनल चैंपियनशिप में भाग लेने का भी मौका मिलता है, जो भारत के बास्केटबॉल खिलाड़ियों की प्रोफाइल को बेहतर करेगा।</p>
